We are offering the chance to purchase ads for the spring program again! Don't pass up the opportunity to purchase space in the spring concert program to send a personal message to your student, the directors, private lesson teachers, etc.!
Four sizes are available: Full-page ($100), Half-page ($50) and Quarter-page ($25), and Personal ($10).

Interested in dancing, learning some new skills and making new friends? If so, colorguard may be the perfect group for you! Tryouts this year will take place next Monday, April 21 through Thursday, April 24 5:30-8:30 p.m. and will begin in the band hall. No prior experience is necessary and all are welcome. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.
Thursday evening, April 11, we had an informational meeting for all incoming Freshman parents to discuss the logistics of how band at Flower Mound High School works. If you were unable to attend the meeting, we have the information in both a quicktime movie and a PDF file. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. The Flower Mound Colorguard will host a "Spin Clinic" at FMHS this Saturday, April 12 from 9:00am-12:30pm. The cost is $45 and includes a t-shirt, all instruction, snack, and a performance. If you think you might be interested in colorguard, come check it out; we would love to have you! Walk-ins are welcome!

A note about percussion auditions:
All percussionists are placed in the same class in the fall, so auditions for percussionists are to determine their placement in the Fall drumline. We will have several “Drumline Audition Clinics" where students will receive music, info, and instruction on how to prepare for the individual audition on 5/16. Students will also be evaluated in a group playing environment. We will have clinicians in to work with the students and separated into instrument groupings based on their specialties (I.e. Snare, Quad, Bass, and Front Ensemble). Students may feel free to come and go between instrument sections based on what they want to learn and try out for. These clinics are not required and will not affect the students' grades however, the better attendance a student has, the more prepared they will likely be for their drumline audition. Best of luck!

The colorguard's annual taco dinner and show will take place in the FMHS cafeteria on March 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 with discounted tickets for Seniors over 65, $8, and children under 10, $5. It will be catered by Cristina’s Fine Mexican Restaurant. Tickets are available through guard members or at the door starting at 6:30pm. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to both Winterguards for a great showing this past Saturday at the NTCA Lewisville contest. The "A" guard finished 2nd place in the Scholastic A class and the "Open" guard finished 1st in the Scholastic Open class. Great job girls!
